About The Reading Plus Program
Our after-school program is offered to elementary students living in South Huntsville grades K-6th.
It is an academic enrichment and tutoring program focused on improving or advancing students’ literacy skills as well as offering the opportunity to experience STEAM learning.
Child Safety
All volunteers are required to go through a security check before being left with any students. We want our parents to have the assurance that we are doing everything we can to ensure their childs safety.
Our Staff
Our Paid Staff and Exceptional Volunteers come from various backgrounds and walks of life. From Pastors, Teachers, Hospital Workers and College Students together our goal is to help educate children and help them to succeed..
Program Director
Our Program Director Deborah Wilson has worked within the childcare/eduction arena for almost 40 years. She has worked in various positions including DayCare Lead, Drama Teacher, DOD Computer Lab Lead and Director of Programs for LMCC a 501c3 in Pittsburgh, PA. She comes with the ability to motivate staff and students to a higher level of excellence. She is also a Pastor at The Branch Family Worship Center of Huntsville where she enjoys ministering in Word and song as well as Directs the Children's Department.
